Real Madrid youth player dies

Spanish champions Real Madrid have confirmed the death of one of their youth players.

Alonso Ezquerra died yesterday for reasons that have not yet been revealed.

"Real Madrid C.F. expresses its deepest regret for the passing of its Under-10s player Alonso Ezquerra and sympathises with his family and friends at this extremely hard time," read a statement on the club's official website.

Reports have claimed that the senior squad will pay tribute to Ezquerra prior to Sunday's match against Deportivo.
