Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of Kaka leaving the club in January.
Kaka has failed to rediscover the sort of form that led to him being awarded the Ballon d'Or and World Player of the Year in 2007 since arriving at Madrid and is not considered a first team regular at the Bernabeu.
The Brazilian had been linked with a move to the MLS, but Mourinho is keen to keep hold of him in order to maintain his squad's depth.
"I don't think that Kaka will go anywhere. He will stay. And as I've said all along, if he stays then it is good for us because he provides us with an extra option," said Mourinho.
Real Madrid currently sit third in the table, 13 points behind league leaders and rivals Barcelona.
