Casemiro "very focused" on Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has hinted that he will remain at the Bernabeu in January.

Reports had linked the 21-year-old with a loan move, but the Brazilian has insisted that he is "very focused" at breaking into the first-team set-up with Madrid.

"I am here very humbly and very focused on the job. I am trying to enjoy this opportunity and am always working hard," Casemiro told AS.

"In Spain, the football is faster, the grass is shorter. In Brazil, the game is slower. But I have adapted quickly. I look thinner than when I first arrived? I lost weight when I arrived here because Spanish football is more dynamic.

"Within 15 or 20 days being with Real Madrid Castilla I was already at my ideal weight."

Casemiro joined Madrid from Sao Paulo in the summer.
