Real Madrid are 45 minutes away from a place in the Copa del Rey final after taking a 2-0 lead at half time against local rivals Atletico Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo's brace – both from the penalty spot – has given Carlo Ancelotti's side a seemingly insurmountable 5-0 aggregate lead against Los Rojiblancos.

Ronaldo scored his opening spot kick after seven minutes before Gareth Bale was brought down for the Portuguese forward to add to his tally.

The Ballon d'Or winner calmly slotted home his 34th goal of the campaign to give Los Blancos a healthy lead against Diego Simeone's men.
