Atalanta BC vs. Real Madrid: Predicted La Dea XI for Champions League showdown

29-goal frontline: How Atalanta could line up against Real Madrid

Atalanta BC are set to start with their 29-goal frontline in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

Mateo Retegui has scored 14 times in 21 appearances during the 2024-25 campaign, while Ademola Lookman has 10 and Charles De Ketelaere has five, with all three players in excellent form for their Italian club this term.

Atalanta will be without the services of Gianluca Scamacca, Davide Zappacosta and Juan Cuadrado on Tuesday, but the Italian outfit have not reported any fresh injury concerns from their league clash with AC Milan on Friday night.

Retegui started on the bench against Milan but is set to come back into the XI for this clash, with Mario Pasalic expected to be the player to drop out for the visit of the European champions.

Ederson has been another standout performer for the Italian outfit this season, and he will feature in central midfield, while Marten de Roon will also operate in the middle for the Serie A giants.

There are not expected to be any surprises in a defensive area, meanwhile, with Berat Djimsiti set to continue in a back three.

Atalanta BC possible starting lineup: Carnesecchi; Djimsiti, Hien, Kolasinac; Bellanova, De Roon, Ederson, Ruggeri; De Ketelaere, Retegui, Lookman
