Report: Lucas Silva to start Schalke 04 clash

A report claims that Lucas Silva will start Real Madrid's Champions League last-16 clash against Schalke 04 on Wednesday.

Lucas Silva will reportedly make his first Real Madrid start in Wednesday's Champions League last-16 clash away to Schalke 04.

The Brazilian, who joined Los Blancos from Cruzeiro in January, made his official debut in the second half of Saturday's 2-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

According to Inside Spanish Football, however, the midfielder will step into the XI for this week's European trip to Germany.

Real Madrid are currently without Luka Modric, Sami Khedira and James Rodriguez through injury, which has opened up a spot in the middle of the park for the La Liga leaders.

Silva has not started a single match since last December.
