Report: Real Madrid fear ACL tear for Jese

Real Madrid striker Jese faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after reportedly tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Real Madrid striker Jese has reportedly suffered a "serious injury" during the team's Champions League match against Schalke 04 this evening.

The 21-year-old had to be replaced by Gareth Bale after less than 10 minutes following a collision with Joel Matip at the Bernabeu.

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser announced that the injury is thought to be serious, while other Spanish media sources have claimed that Real fear the forward has torn his anterior criciate ligament.

Jese will undergo an MRI scan to determine the extent of the injury.
