Gareth Bale pleased with Champions League progression

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale has revealed his delight after Los Blancos booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Roma on Tuesday night.

The second leg, which Real Madrid won 2-0 to secure a 4-0 aggregate win, also marked Bale's return from a calf injury, which had kept him on the sidelines since the middle of January.

After the match, Bale took to Twitter to praise "a very good Roma side".

Bale played 61 minutes at the Bernabeu before being replaced by Lucas Vasquez.
