Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri: 'Real Madrid tie not over'

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri urges his players to give everything that they have in an attempt to overturn their three-goal deficit against Real Madrid.

Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that Juventus can still progress through from their Champions League quarter-final tie with Real Madrid if they produce a "top performance" at the Bernabeu.

The Italian giants crumbled in the first leg on home soil to leave themselves 3-0 down ahead of the return fixture in Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Juve boss Allegri, whose side were beaten 4-1 by Los Blancos in last season's final in Cardiff, hopes to at least see his side give a better account of themselves when facing the defending champions for a third time in a year.

"You can have no complaints when you lose 3-0 but for the first hour it was more evenly matched than the final in Cardiff and the games [in this season's group stage] against Barcelona," he told reporters.

"We've got to take every last drop of energy we've got left to go for the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and, of course, the second leg in Madrid. We must put in a top performance in Madrid with the world watching and then see what happens."

Juve saw off Benevento 4-2 on Saturday to move seven points clear of Napoli, who have a game in hand to play.
