Reading sign Peru winger Paolo Hurtado

Reading have confirmed the signing of Peru international Paolo Hurtado from Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira.

The 25-year-old winger joins the Royals on a three-year deal after a three-season spell in Portugal, during which he helped Pacos qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Reading manager Steve Clarke told the official website: "Paolo Hurtado is a player that we have been following since January. He is a creative player who can play off either side of the pitch.

"As well as creating chances for others, Paolo also has an eye for a goal. His style of play should complement the players already here and we look forward to him joining our squad."

Hurtado is a regular in the Peruvian national set-up and was part of the squad which finished in third place at this summer's Copa America in Chile.
