Agent: 'Reading interested in Leandro Bacuna'

Reading have targeted Groningen winger Leandro Bacuna, according to the player's agent.

The 21-year-old has scored five goals in 29 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, while establishing a reputation as an effective box-to-box midfielder.

Nigel Adkins has reportedly sent scouts to watch the Dutch Under-21 international, who came through the youth ranks at the Euroborg-based outfit.

His agent Henk-Maarten Chin revealed told Dutch TV station Rtvnoord: "I do not deny that Reading is interested in Bacuna.

"He is a real box-to-box player and that they find interesting in England."

Bacuna made his senior debut against PSV Eindhoven in October 2009.
