Jake Taylor hoping for run in Reading team

Jake Taylor hopes to secure a run in the Reading side after breaking into the first-team setup.

Jake Taylor has revealed that he is hopeful of securing a run in the Reading side this season after breaking into the first-team setup.

The 21-year-old, who has spent much of his senior career on loan in the lower divisions, made his first appearance of the season in Reading's 2-1 loss to Burnley last weekend.

He told the Reading Post: "Whenever you get a chance you want to take it. I feel like I've been working hard so it was nice to get some minutes. It was not the result we were looking for but I'm pleased to have played.

"I want to play for this club, that's always what I've wanted to do. I've been here for a long time now and I want to play lots of games in the future. That's my aim, so hopefully I can achieve that."

Taylor has 10 Under-21 Wales caps to his name.
