Mikele Leigertwood has insisted that Reading will attack Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
The newly-promoted side face the Champions League winners in their first away game of the season and Leigertwood claims that Reading can't afford to adopt a defensive approach against Roberto Di Matteo's side.
"You can't go into any games fearing teams or sitting back," the midfielder told reporters. "You have to attack and put teams under pressure and I'm sure we'll do that tomorrow.
"We'll play with a high tempo and that will be good for us.
"We want to give a good account of ourselves and go there and win hopefully."
Reading started the season with a 1-1 draw against Stoke City at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
