Jimmy Kebe doubtful for Reading opener

Reading winger Jimmy Kebe is unlikely to be fit in time for the start of the Premier League season.

The 28-year-old Mali international, who featured 33 times during the Royals' promotion campaign, limped off after 17 minutes of Saturday's pre-season friendly draw against Portuguese side CDR Quarteirense.

It is feared that Kebe may have torn his hamstring.

Reading host Stoke City at the Madejski Stadium on the opening day.
