Reading midfielder Hope Akpan out for three months

Reading have confirmed that midfielder Hope Akpan will spend the next three months on the sidelines with a dislocated shoulder.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury on Saturday while on international duty with Nigeria.

Akpan, who has made 14 appearances for the Royals this season, is due to be back in action at the start of 2015.

Reading continue their Championship campaign on Friday when they make the trip to Cardiff City.
