Ally McCoist: 'Rangers players need international break'

Ally McCoist believes that his players can use the international break to recover after a tough run of games.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has admitted that the postponement of his side's game with Forfar next week due to international call-ups will help his players recover after a tough stretch of games.

The Light Blues have won every match so far, including Saturday's 2-0 win against Airdrieonians, to leave themselves 14 points clear in Scottish League One, but McCoist believes that the break is much needed.

He told Rangers.co.uk: "It's my job to put a winning Rangers team on the park and also the best possible Rangers team out there too.

"At the moment, it looks a good decision to call off next weekend's game with Forfar because it turns out we have injury problems too."

Rangers' next game is now against Arbroath on November 25.
