Harry Redknapp credits Queens Park Rangers second-half display

Redknapp credits QPR second-half display

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that his side were far better in the second half of their win against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

The R's trailed at half time, but a goal from Matt Phillips and a Charlie Austin stoppage-time winner sealed the points, but Redknapp feels that his players deserve credit for continuing to push in the second period.

He told the club's official website: "I was very disappointed with the first half. We were poor; we didn't play well at all. We looked tired, didn't play with any energy, but we were much better in the second half.

"We left it late like we did earlier in the season against Ipswich, but the lads deserve a lot of credit for continuing to plug away. We managed to get the three points at the end with a great goal from Charlie - it was a brilliant header."

Rangers travel to Premier League high-flyers Everton in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
