West Ham 'reopen Javier Pastore talks'

West Ham United have reportedly reopened talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Javier Pastore and are said to be "close" to getting a deal done.

The London side pulled talks with the Argentine earlier this month due to his wage demands, which are thought to be around £190,000 a week.

According to Paris United, however, Pastore's agent Marcelo Simonian has now indicated that he is willing to lower those demands in exchange for a substantial signing-on fee when the deal goes through.

Pastore still has one year remaining on his contract with PSG but is free to leave this summer as the Ligue 1 champions look to keep in line with FFP regulations.

The 28-year-old is wanted by new Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini, who is said to have targeted five new players to strengthen following a campaign which saw the side flirt with relegation for much of the season.

Alfie Mawson, Felipe Anderson and Lukasz Fabianski are also said to be on Pellegrini's radar.
