Mamadou Sakho admits that he is considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain in order to get into the France team.

Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Mamadou Sakho has revealed that he could leave the club in the summer in order to play first-team football.

Sakho, 22, has found playing time hard to come by so far this season and admitted that in order to make the 2014 World Cup he might have to move elsewhere.

"I will do everything to play at the 2014 World Cup, but I need to be playing week in, week out," Sky Sports News quotes Sakho as saying.

"I cannot accept playing just a few minutes this season and next because this is a decisive moment in my career.

"At the end of the season I will sit down with my agent and club officials and clear up the situation. If I have to leave PSG to keep my place in the France national team, then I have no choice but to leave."

Sakho has made 139 league appearances for PSG since 2007.
