Ibrahimovic committed to PSG

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that his side's "incredible" Ligue 1 title win is the beginning of something special both for him and for the club.

PSG beat Lyon 1-0 away from home on Sunday to claim their first championship since 1994.

"The supporters have been waiting a long time for this, and at last they are champions, like us," Ligue 1.com quotes him as saying. "This is why I came here, to do my best and become champion of France. I am very happy.

"Up until two years ago, I had won eight titles in a row, and then last year I didn't win [with AC Milan]. Now I am back on track. The future belongs to us, we can still do better. After winning the title like this, only God knows how far we can go.

"It is incredible. Paris has not won the title for such a long time. To be here at the beginning of all this, for the first title, it couldn't be better. I have two years remaining on my contract and I am a professional. I respect my contracts."

Ibrahimovic joined PSG from Milan last summer.
