Laurent Blanc targets Yohan Cabaye, Miralem Pjanic

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has admitted that he would like to sign Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye or Roma's Miralem Pjanic.

The 48-year-old praised the technical abilities of each midfielder, but conceded that it may be hard to bring them to Paris in the current transfer window.

"Cabaye and Pjanic are actually two of our targets, they are two players we want," he told reporters.

"They are similar, they have the same profile of a very technical midfielder. There are two alternatives, there is no choice of number one or number two.

"There are negotiations ongoing, but it's hard to complete them in January. I would be very happy to have a midfielder."

PSG are currently top of the Ligue 1 table.
