Paris Saint-Germain open up a six-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a 3-1 win at home to Bastia.

Paris Saint-Germain have moved six points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table thanks to a 3-1 win at home to Bastia.

The home side nearly took the lead in the 25th minute when Kevin Gameiro's effort came back off the post.

However, they made the breakthrough just before the hour as Jeremy Menez saw his shot from the edge of the box creep under Bastia goalkeeper Mickael Landreau.

PSG went further ahead through a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty on 71 minutes after Julian Palmieri tripped Lucas Moura.

Wahbi Khazri gave Bastia some hope in the final 10 minutes with a long-range free kick, but the hosts sealed the win in injury time as Ezequiel Lavezzi converted from close range.
