Preview: Saint-Etienne vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Saint-Etienne vs. PSG

Paris Saint-Germain travel to Stade Geoffroy-Guichard having recorded victories in each of their last three games in all competitions.

The Ligue 1 champions suffered a surprise defeat away at Bastia on January 10, but three wins in a row have suggested that PSG are ready to improve on their dismal league form, which has brought just eight points from the last six games.

With the club sitting four points behind leaders Lyon, boss Laurent Blanc will be hoping that striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic can break his recent scoring drought, having failed to net in a league match since December 6.

Defender Zoumana Camara misses the fixture through suspension, while Clement Chantome is absent with a chest problem.

Saint-Etienne play host to PSG having suffered just one defeat in 20 matches in all competitions, which came against the club from the French capital in the Coupe de la Ligue earlier this month.

However, Christophe Galtier's team haven't lost in the league in a dozen matches, but the club's boss may be wary of a possible hangover after being taken to extra time in the Coupe de France on Wednesday night.

Striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who is on loan from Norwich City, netted twice in that game after previously only scoring once in his last seven outings.

The trio of Francois Clerc, Benjamin Corgnet, Renaud Cohade are all expected to be sidelined with ankle, thigh, and knee injuries respectively.
