Preview: Monaco vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole previews the Ligue 1 encounter between Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.

Monaco head into their Ligue 1 showdown with Paris Saint-Germain without the services of defender Aymen Abdennour.

The Tunisian, who impressed during his side's 3-1 victory over Arsenal on Wednesday night, is suspended, while Leonardo Jardim is also missing the injured Ricardo Carvalho and Andrea Raggi.

Despite the selection issues in defence, Jardim will be confident that his side can overcome the Ligue 1 champions after putting together a run of three successive wins.

Scoring goals has proven a problem, but Monaco have conceded just once in their last eight games, while they earned a 1-1 draw at the Parc des Princes in October.

PSG travel to Stade Louis II on the back of 11 matches without defeat in all competitions, a streak that has included 14 points being registered from six league fixtures.

It's a run of form that has taken Laurent Blanc's men to within two points of leaders Lyon, and the Parisians will feel a sense of momentum when travelling to last season's runners-up.

However, PSG are missing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he received a two-match ban from the French Football Association for an incident involving Saint-Etienne's Romain Hamouma.

Blanc is also without Thiago Motta, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura, but David Luiz could be drafted back into the starting lineup.

Monaco:

Possible starting lineup: Subasic; Elderson, Wallace, Kurzawa, Toure, Fabinho; Moutinho, Kondogbia, Dirar; Martial, Berbatov

Possible starting lineup: Sirigu, Thiago Silva, Van der Wiel, Digne, Marquinhos, Matuidi, David Luiz, Rabiot, Pastore, Cavani, Lavezzi
