Maxwell pleased with "complete" Paris Saint-Germain philosophy

Maxwell praises Paris Saint-Germain's 'complete philosophy' after going five points clear at the top of Ligue 1.

Maxwell has paid tribute to the "complete" philosophy of Paris Saint-Germain after they thrashed Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The defending champions, who have already progressed to Champions League knockout stages, the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals and the last 32 of the Coupe de France, now sit five points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table thanks to a 5-0 drubbing of Les Canaris at the Parc des Princes.

"I think it was a very complete performance, with a lot of intensity, especially in our pressing game," Maxwell told the club's official website.

"We scored five goals and used the ball well and that's our philosophy. We head home feeling we have accomplished something this evening.

"Now we have to recover for another important match in the Coupe de France against Montpellier on Wednesday."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice during the victory over Nantes, with Thiago Silva, Thiago Motta and Edinson Cavani also grabbing a goal each.
