Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly not interested in becoming the next boss of Paris Saint-Germain.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly expected to reject any opportunity to leave Roma for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The Portuguese has just finished his first year at Stadio Olimpico, Roma only being able to secure sixth position in the Serie A standings.

However, the campaign has been regarded as a huge success, Mourinho guiding the Italian giants to their first European trophy in the form of the Europa Conference League.

The 59-year-old has recently stated that he will not consider any offers to depart Roma over the summer, his desire being with building a stronger squad at I Giallorossi.

Nevertheless, reports emerged on Saturday that PSG had identified the legendary manager as their alternative to replace Mauricio Pochettino ahead of 2022-23.

Pochettino is currently in a position where he has regularly insisted that he expects to remain at Parc des Princes, despite the weekly speculation regarding his position in the dugout.

Coincidentally, it was Mourinho who replaced Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, but it appears that lightning will not strike twice in Paris.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho is only focused on the project that he is currently overseeing in the Italian capital.

Romano adds that Mourinho has Roma's full backing in the transfer market with goalkeeper Mile Svilar and midfielder Nemanja Matic expected to join on free transfers.

Other notable names are expected to follow with Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and departing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala also said to be on Roma's wishlist.

Regardless of who signs for Roma this summer, retaining the services of Mourinho, should his decision be confirmed, will arguably be regarded as the biggest coup.

Despite his wide array of clubs during an illustrious career, Mourinho has never spent fewer than 86 games at one team since all the way back in 2002 when he was at Uniao de Leiria.

As it stands, Mourinho has taken charge of 55 games with Roma, recording a total of 29 wins and 14 defeats since his appointment 12 months ago.

Mourinho also has two years remaining on his contract, one which may be extended in the future should Roma remain on an upward trajectory.
