Lyon boss Hubert Fournier has played down the hype surrounding his side's table-topping clash with Paris Saint-Germain this weekend.
Many observers of Ligue 1 have suggested that the game could help to determine who claims the title this season, with a PSG win sending Laurent Blanc's side above current leaders Lyon into top spot.
However, Fournier has moved to insist that, despite the intrigue around the game, it will not prove decisive towards the outcome of the French title.
"It's not a decisive match. This could boost our confidence and show that it is not by chance [that we are top]," Fournier told the club's official website.
"If we win without our absent players, it would be a great performance. OL want to stay the leader.
"It would be disrespectful to PSG to think [we are favourites]. PSG are on an impressive run. It can be expected that they will be positive. It will be a great game."
Lyon are currently two points clear of the defending champions PSG after 23 games of the season.
