David Beckham eager to return to playing

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham has said that he is looking forward to returning to the football pitch this week.

The 37-year-old was on a five-day tour of China as a football ambassador during the international break.

"Honestly, I loved this trip to China, the warm welcome I received and the cities I visited," he told reporters.

"But I can't wait to put my suit aside and pull the football boots on again."

PSG will take on defending French champions Montpellier in Ligue 1 on Friday.
