Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that the club's new players have arrived in France to win trophies.
The Ligue 1 club have signed the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Ezequiel Lavezzi during the summer for big-money fees, but Ancelotti believes that the players could have earned the same wages at other high-profile clubs.
Ancelotti told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Everyone is talking about our money, but nobody talks about PSG's ambitious project.
"Do you believe that Ibrahimovic, Silva, Lavezzi and the others came to Paris for the money? They would earn the same salary at many other clubs."
Paris Saint-Germain are currently ninth in the Ligue 1 table.
