Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Saturday's Ligue 1 clash with Monaco.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier will be without the services of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe for Saturday's Ligue 1 contest with Monaco at the Stade Louis II.

Mbappe is facing a couple more weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury, but Neymar was back from a groin problem in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Marseille in the Coupe de France, where Messi sustained the hamstring knock that will keep him out here.

Neymar came through the cup game unscathed and likely link up with Hugo Ekitike up front, although Messi is expected to be fit enough to return for the visit of Bayern Munich in the Champions League next Tuesday.

Both Ekitike and Carlos Soler came off the bench to try to inject some life into an ailing PSG attack on Wednesday, and the latter should also start as Galtier works around Messi's absence.

Fabian Ruiz's spot is certainly in danger, and Soler may be given the nod in the number 10 role, while Renato Sanches is absent with the muscle issue he sustained against Toulouse last weekend.

Vitinha, Danilo Pereira and Marco Verratti should therefore make up the Parisiens' midfield triumvirate, and Galtier may be able to welcome Presnel Kimpembe back for this one too.

The centre-back has returned to full training as he steps up his recovery from a serious Achilles injury, but Galtier is being careful with his fitness and will likely name him on the bench if he is given the green light.

Sergio Ramos, Nuno Mendes, Marquinhos and Gianluigi Donnarumma are all shoo-ins at the back, but Achraf Hakimi reportedly also sustained a hamstring issue against Marseille. With Nordi Mukiele still sidelined as well, Timothee Pembele should start at right-back.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup: Donnarumma; Pembele, Marquinhos, Ramos, Mendes; Vitinha, Pereira, Verratti; Soler; Ekitike, Neymar
