Montpellier have so far frustrated Paris Saint-Germain as the two sides go into the break of their Ligue 1 clash with the score still at 0-0 this afternoon.

PSG settled onto the ball quickly and looked to probe down Montpellier's right-hand side, and they responded by putting every man back behind the ball.

Edinson Cavani attempted to roll a low shot into the far corner of the net but he sent it wide of the upright.

Montpellier had the ball in the net as Anthony Mounier found Morgan Sanson with a cutback before the midfielder fired home, but he was ruled to be offside.

It was an encouraging period for the visitors, but they allowed Laurent Blanc's men to assert themselves on the game and PSG looked increasingly menacing when they pushed forward just before half time.
