Portugal lineup vs. Hungary: Predicted XI for Roberto Martinez's side in World Cup qualification fixture

Any changes for Martinez? How Portugal could line up against Hungary

Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez could make just the one change to his starting side for Tuesday's 2026 World Cup qualification fixture against Hungary.

The UEFA Nations League holders opened their Group F campaign with a 5-0 success over Armenia on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to make it 140 goals for his country in 222 appearances, and there should be another spot in the final third of the field for the 40-year-old.

Joao Felix was also in impressive form against Armenia, coming up with a brace, and there is expected to be a spot in the final third of the field for the now Al-Nassr forward.

Bernardo Silva is expected to return to the starting side, though, which could lead to Pedro Neto dropping to the bench.

Portugal have incredible strength in depth, with Joao Palhinha and Ruben Neves both options to come into the midfield, but it is difficult to see any of Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha and Joao Neves being left out.

There should also be another spot at left-back for Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes.

Portugal possible starting lineup: Costa; Cancelo, Dias, Inacio, Mendes; J Neves, Vitinha, Fernandes; B Silva, Ronaldo, Felix
