Parma 1-0 Bologna

Parma have secured eighth spot in Serie A with a 1-0 win over Bologna this afternoon.

The first half was slow to get started, but the deadlock was eventually broken with just under ten minutes left in the opening period.

A cross from Sebastian Giovinco found Jonathan Biabiany and the Sampdoria loanee striker made no mistake with the finish.

Both teams patiently waited for another goalscoring opportunity, but no such chance was forthcoming.

The result, coupled with Roma's win over Cesena, means that Parma finish the season in eighth place, while Bologna remain ninth, although they could be displaced by Catania later today.
