Half-Time Report: Parma, Juventus goalless at break

Parma produced a solid defensive display to restrict Juventus to little more than half-chances in a tight first half that finished 0-0.

It was the home side who carved out the game's first chance, but Massimo Gobbi's cross-cum-shot from the left side of the box evaded everyone in the middle.

In the 12th minute Carlos Tevez played an intricate one-two with Sebastian Giovinco on the left flank before scuffing an effort towards goal, which Antonio Mirante gratefully grabbed at the second attempt.

For all of the Italian champions' possession, the Turin side were restricted mainly to long-range efforts. Arturo Vidal came closest with a 20-yard strike that grazed Mirante's post.
