Notts County re-sign Mike Edwards

Mike Edwards rejoins League One club Notts County following a two-year spell with Carlisle United.

Mike Edwards has returned for a second stint with Notts County.

The 34-year-old originally joined County from Grimsby Town in 2004 and he went on to spend eight years at Meadow Lane, before he linked up with Carlisle United.

He was released earlier this summer, which has paved the way for him to re-sign for County, where he will double up as the club's strength and conditioning coach.

Edwards has been given the number 28 shirt by manager Shaun Derry.
