With Notts County keen to bounce back from defeat, they will hope to beat visitors Fleetwood Town on Saturday at Meadow Lane in League Two.
The 13th-placed hosts lost 3-0 against Lincoln City in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, whereas ninth-placed Fleetwood Town won on penalties against Accrington Stanley in the same competition on September 2.
Match preview
Notts County's defeat against Lincoln was their first in four games, with the club having won twice in that period.
It should be noted that the hosts did fail to get the better of their first four opponents of 2025-26, suffering three defeats in their opening four matches.
Boss Martin Paterson did oversee a 2-1 victory against Tranmere Rovers on August 30 in his side's most recent league outing, a game in which they scored two of the three big chances they created.
The Magpies have been League Two's joint best offensive team having netted 11 times in six fixtures, but their record of nine conceded is the joint worst in the bottom 21.
Notts County have played at home three times this term, winning one, drawing one and losing one, and they scored seven times while conceding five goals in those matches.
Fleetwood Town beat Barrow 1-0 in their League Two clash on August 30, and though they were aided by the fact their opponents were reduced to 10 men in the 10th minute, they should still be credited for restricting them to one shot on target.
Head coach Pete Wild will be pleased that his players have managed to find the back of the net in each of their eight fixtures this season, but he may be concerned that his side's clean sheet against Barrow is their only one in seven games.
The Fishermen were held to 2-2 stalemates in their two league meetings with Notts County in 2024-25, but they did win their previous two matches against the hosts.
Fleetwood have found wins difficult to come by in recent weeks given their victory against Barrow was their first in the league in four, with the team drawing twice.
Wild's side are unbeaten on their travels in League Two this campaign, emerging as winners in two of their three away outings.

Notts County goalkeeper Kelle Roos is likely to be protected by central defenders Sonny Aljofree, Rod McDonald and Jacob Bedeau.
Unfortunately for the hosts, forwards Jodi Jones, Maziar Kouhyar and Alassana Jatta will be unavailable for selection as they have been called up to their respective national teams.
Perhaps Conor Grant, Tom Iorpenda and Matthew Dennis will be chosen together as a trio in attack in their stead.
As for Fleetwood, midfielder Elliot Bonds will be with Guyana for the September international break, and Matthew Virtue-Thick is injured, meaning Jordan Davies and George Morrison may find themselves in Wild's plans.
Ryan Graydon and Will Davies could be stationed in a front two, supported by number 10 Mark Helm.
Notts County possible starting lineup:
Roos; Aljofree, McDonald, Bedeau; Cotter, Norburn, Palmer, Tsaroulla; Grant, Iorpenda; Dennis
Fleetwood Town possible starting lineup:
Lynch; Holgate, Bolton, Potter; Rooney, Morrison, J Davies, Medley; Helm; Graydon, W Davies
We say: Notts County 2-1 Fleetwood Town
Notts County's impressive displays in the final third should be enough to get them over the line, but their defence has been leaky.
Fleetwood have often found ways of scoring, but if their mixed form is any indicator, it would not be surprising if they once again fell short.
