Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce may enter loan market

Stuart Pearce concedes that injuries to some of his key Nottingham Forest players may see him bolster his squad with a loan signing.

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has revealed that he may be forced into making a loan addition to his squad over the coming week.

Pearce saw both Chris Cohen and Andy Reid limp off with injuries during yesterday's 1-1 draw with East Midlands rivals Derby County, while striker Matty Fryatt is sidelined with a pelvic complaint.

With those absences in mind, Pearce has admitted that he might need to pursue a temporary signing.

"I did not have my eyes on anyone in the loan window, before this game. But now, having collected a few injuries, we will have to reassess and look at things this week, I think," the Nottingham Post has quoted the former England defender as saying.

The point gained against Derby has seen Forest retain their place at the top of the Championship.
