Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly set his sights on a reunion with one of his former Wolverhampton Wanderers stars.
The East Midlands outfit are currently in line to feature in next season's Europa League, depending on how Crystal Palace fare with their appeal over the demotion to the Conference League.
Although Forest received a boost over the weekend with Morgan Gibbs-White penning a new contract, they still require additions in the final third.
Anthony Elanga and Ramon Sosa have already left for Newcastle United and Palmeiras, while there are doubts over whether Jota Silva will remain at the City Ground.
According to John Percy of The Telegraph, Nuno is eager to add a trusted former winger to his squad at Forest.
Which former Wolves star does Nuno want to sign?
The report alleges that Nuno is eager to sign Fulham winger Adama Traore with talks already said to be underway with the Cottagers.
As it stands, it is unclear whether Fulham are prepared to cash in on the Spain international, but they would stand to make pure profit having signed Traore from Wolves on a free transfer.
Furthermore, the 29-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract, another factor that could tip the scales in Forest's favour.
In 59 games for Fulham, Traore has chipped in with four goals and 12 assists, while he missed just two games for the club in last season's Premier League.
His return of seven assists in the top flight was his best since recording nine for Wolves during the 2019-20 campaign.
Will Traore want Nuno reunion?
The offer of European football will presumably appeal to Traore when he has only made 22 appearances in continental competitions.
Nuno also signed Traore for Wolves in 2018 and treated him as a key player at Molineux to the extent where he featured in all but two Premier League games played in 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Once Nuno left Wolves, Traore's impact at Molineux decreased, and he made just 12 starts from 34 top-flight outings during his final season before leaving as a free agent.
In 53 Premier League games for Fulham, he has only made 19 starts, and Traore may wish to take his chances under one of his biggest admirers next season.
