Simon Gillett signs new Nottingham Forest deal

Nottingham Forest midfielder Simon Gillet has agreed a new one-and-a-half-year contract at the Championship club.

The 27-year-old joined Forest from Doncaster Rovers in the summer, with an initial contract that was due to expire at the end of January.

However, the midfielder has become a regular in the Forest side this season, making 25 appearances in all competitions.

The new deal will keep Gillet at the City Ground until at least 2014.
