Forest: 'Lansbury will not be leaving'

Nottingham Forest have announced that midfielder Henri Lansbury will not be leaving the club.

The 24-year-old had been linked with a move to fellow Championship side Burnley throughout the summer, but Forest have revealed that the midfielder has stated his intention to remain at the City Ground.

Forest said in a statement on their official website: "Nottingham Forest have confirmed the situation regarding Henri Lansbury's future at the club.

"The 24-year-old has declared his intention to stay at Forest following a conversation with owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi. "The club welcome Lansbury's decision and will now move forward with him in their plans."

Lansbury joined Forest from Arsenal for £1m in 2012.
