Nottingham Forest lineup vs. Arsenal: Predicted XI for Premier League clash

Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo might give consideration to another formation change for Wednesday's Premier League visit of Arsenal to the City Ground.

The hosts have a near fully-fit squad for the clash with Mikel Arteta's side, as only goalkeeper Carlos Miguel (hamstring) is definitely missing through injury, although he did say at his pre-game press conference that some unnamed players were carrying knocks.

The Tricky Trees boss reverted to a tried-and-tested 4-2-3-1 shape against Newcastle United, but the Garibaldi conceded a staggering four times in the space of 11 minutes in that 4-3 defeat.

The day before, Arsenal were toothless against a five-man West Ham United defence in their 1-0 loss, so Santo might look to copy Graham Potter's example, especially after his side's defensive capitulation in the North East.

Morato would be the beneficiary of such a switch, lining up alongside Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo ahead of Matz Sels, who had a rare off day at St James' Park.

Expect Ola Aina and Neco Williams to function as the wing-backs if Santo does indeed go for a 3-4-3 or a 5-4-1, while Ryan Yates might displace Nicolas Dominguez in the centre of the park alongside Elliot Anderson.

Anthony Elanga would likely be the sacrifice for an extra defender, as Callum Hudson-Odoi's fine opener at the weekend should be enough to see him reprise his attacking role alongside Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White.
