Report: Stuart Pearce rejects backroom role at Nottingham Forest

Stuart Pearce reportedly rejects the chance to become director of football at Nottingham Forest.

Stuart Pearce has rejected an offer to become director of football at Nottingham Forest, according to a report.

The 52-year-old was sacked as manager of the East Midlands outfit yesterday evening following a run of just three wins in 23 games.

It was later revealed that Forest had offered the Englishman an "alternative role" at the club, although Sky Sports News claims that the former Reds captain has declined the chance to take up a backseat role.

Pearce, who is said to have also been offered an ambassadorial position at the City Ground, spent just seven months in charge of the Championship side before being dismissed.
