Stuart Pearce: 'We still want to improve'

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce insists that his players will continue to improve following their strong start to the Championship campaign.

Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce has called on his players to continue improving following their 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday earlier this afternoon.

Henri Lansbury's first-half header will now ensure that Forest remain at the top of the Championship table over the international break, but Pearce has urged his players to strive to develop more areas of their game.

"I'm pleased how we stand at this moment in time, but my message is we have to improve," Pearce told Sky Sports News.

"There are four or five areas of the game we can get better at and the players realise that. The more demands I put on the players and the more they put on themselves, the more we will improve.

"The block of games has been a fantastic learning curve. There hasn't been one game where I have been entirely satisfied. Maybe I have set my standards too high, but I don't think I have."

Forest have amassed a total of 13 points from five games so far this season.
