Dougie Freedman: 'Nottingham Forest running out of steam'

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman admits that his team's season is petering out after seeing them lose to Huddersfield.

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has admitted that his players are "running out of steam" following their defeat at home to Huddersfield Town.

Forest suffered their third loss in four Championship matches on Saturday as they were beaten 1-0 by Huddersfield at the City Ground.

After seeing his tenure at the club start with a string of positive results, Freedman concedes that his squad are now struggling to find momentum.

"I feel that the huge output of energy that was required to lift us away from the bottom end of the table, since I have been here, is now catching up with us," he told BBC Sport. "We are missing one or two players through injury and we are just running out of steam a little bit.

"In the second half we did have opportunities to take something from the game, but if you do not take your opportunities you will be beaten in this division."

Forest have the chance to get back to winning ways on Wednesday when they host promotion-chasing Watford.
