The Football Association have announced that Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been charged with misconduct.

The charge is in relation to an incident that occurred in the tunnel during his side's 2-2 draw with Leicester City at the City Ground on Wednesday evening.

A statement from the FA said: "Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been charged with misconduct for two breaches of FA Rule E3 in relation to his side's game against Leicester City on 19 February 2014.

"It is alleged that in or around the tunnel area at half time of the fixture, Davies used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the match referee. It is further alleged that his behaviour towards the match referee amounted to improper conduct."

Davies has until 6pm on February 26 to respond to the charge.
