Half-Time Report: Andy Reid helps Nottingham Forest edge ahead of Cardiff City

Nottigham Forest are two goals to the good against Cardiff City thanks to strikes from Andy Reid and Daniel Ayala.

Reid stepped up to smash home a free kick after being fouled on the edge of the penalty area after 25 minutes.

Central defender Ayala doubled Forest's advantage just two minutes later, taking advantage of an advanced position to slide home a neat finish.

Cardiff pressed for a way back into the match but struggled to create opportunities despite a strong showing from Don Cowie and trail 2-0 at the interval.
