Andy Little sent home from Northern Ireland with foot injury

Little ruled out of Luxembourg match

Northern Ireland will compete in their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg without Andy Little after the Rangers player suffered a foot injury.

The 23-year-old, who plays in a range of positions, was expected to be included in manager Michael O'Neill's starting XI but has been forced to leave the squad just hours before tonight's clash.

Due to the timing of Little's injury blow, the Irish side have been unable to call up any replacements who could fill the void in the side at Windsor Park.

Little made a brief appearance in Ireland's 2-0 defeat to Russia on Friday.
