Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has joined League One outfit Swindon Town on a one-year deal.
The 22-year-old has been without a club since his March release by the Magpies and will provide Robins chairman Jed McCrory with the additional forward that he has been chasing.
Ranger, who scored just three times in 62 Newcastle appearances, could extend his contract at the County Ground by a further 12 months if he impresses in his first season.
The England youth international is currently on bail after being charged with rape in July 2013.
