Danny Simpson hopes for Reading switch

Newcastle United defender Danny Simpson is reportedly keen on a move to Premier League newcomers Reading.

The 25-year-old is expected to leave the Magpies this summer after contract negotiations broke down between the player and the club.

Simpson could now be on his way to the Royals for a round £2m, according to The Sun.

Former Newcastle midfielder Danny Guthrie recently joined Reading on a free transfer after his contract expired at the Sports Direct Arena.
