Newcastle United join Seydou Doumbia chase

Newcastle United have reportedly joined the chase to sign CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia.

The Ivory Coast international, who has also attracted interest from Napoli and Lazio, scored 26 goals for the Russians last season.

However, the Magpies could be put off by a £16m asking price for the 24-year-old, according to talkSPORT.

Doumbia was the top scorer in the Swiss Super League for two consecutive seasons with Young Boys before his move to Moscow in 2010.
